Historic Artifacts #2
“Historic Artifacts: AI Artists on the Blockchain” is a weekly blog article presented by “Historic_Crypto,” dedicated to unearthing and promoting the talents of artists in the AI art space.
Each week, “HC” takes readers on a journey through the realm of AI art, shedding light on the extraordinary works of talented artists who are pushing the boundaries of creativity through the fusion of technology and artistic expression.
Tymothy Longoria (a.k.a. Rebel Without Applause) is a writer and AI artist self-described as a “traveler through the wilderness of ambiguities now telling stories through art.”
His work takes on darker themes and imagery with touches of beauty intertwined. As he says, “We are in an age where beauty is a touchscreen away, where every story ever told can be read, and new ideas bring new ways to see the familiar, yet we still imagine. The grandeur of it all.”
II. Neal
Neal is an AI artist and spaces host known to many in the AI art scene in Web3. He creates dynamic and versatile works of art that are both thought-provoking and visually striking.
With a diverse background and drawing on inspiration from the world, Neal use bold colors and unique points of view to create pieces that are truly one-of-a-kind.
III. Kezia Barnett
Kezia is an AI artist based in New Zealand. She has an eye for detail and loves conceptual riffing, solving a technical challenge, creating delicious visuals, adding a dash of choreography and developing ideas and narratives.
She has won numerous awards including: Golds at the Asia Pacific Advertising Festival, D&AD, The One Show and AWARD, and been a Cannes Lions Finalist. Her most recent short, ‘Nurse Me’, screened at many international festivals, including BAFTA qualifying Aesthetica in the UK and OSCAR accredited HollyShorts Film Festival in Hollywood. The film has been acquired by Rialto Channel, Air New Zealand and Shorts International.
Originally from seaside Devonport, New Zealand, Kezia holds a degree from Elam School of Fine Arts, Auckland University.
IV. DocT
Born in Germany, Doc T’s artistic journey started with the rebellious spirit of his teenage years, delving into the world of street art. While his early artistic endeavors were diverse, the path to becoming a pediatrician seemed inevitable.
Throughout his medical career, Doc T never abandoned his love for art, incorporating photography as a way to capture the powerful imagery he encountered during his work in conflict zones and refugee camps. However, it wasn’t until the advent of NFTs and AI that his artistic journey took a turn. Exploring the possibilities of AI-generated art, Doc T discovered the freedom and potential to create art driven purely by ideas and concepts.
While the journey of Doc T has been marked by transitions and exploration, one thing remains certain: his commitment to using art to express the complexities of the human condition.
V. Aerox
Aerox is an AI artist from Portugal. He likes to create abstract and chaotic pieces, many of which have been featured in the Strange History World on Foundation.
Aerox is always up for a challenge trying new tools and techniques. He was recently selected to bring an alternate timeline where Jesus embarks on a vindictive quest of revenge to SuperRare in the Strange History: Alternate Realities Exhibit. He calls it “Jesuscore.”
